BCAN Coordinator Job Description

CORE TASKS 

 

  1. The practical organisation and promotion of lunch meetings programme of BCAN.
  2. Develop relationships with church, project and Christian social ministry leaders, advocates, multipliers and campaigners in Bristol and the surrounding areas, and facilitate more effective communication and partnerships where appropriate.
  3. Liaise with relevant local, regional and national bodies including finding ways locally to promote the impact of Christian social action inside and outside the Christian community, including Faith Action Audits.
  4. Identify, or where necessary write/commission, model documents/procedures for projects, initiatives etc run by Christian based organisations to develop good practice.
  5. Communication
    1. Develop and maintain reliable means of communication /publicity
    2. Produce information/publicity regarding BCAN, including material suitable for other organisations email lists and websites.
  6. Provide regular progress reports to the BCAN Steering Group.

 

 

EXTENDED TASKS 

(As time permits and under direction of line manager)

 

  1. Forums – Promote the work of each Forum.
  2. Forums – Assist with special events run by the Forums.
  3. Seek plan for sustainable funding for BCAN.
  4. Identify needs and trends in Christian social action, both local and national, and advise the steering group.
  5. Support the Steering Group in developing the Future Vision.
